John Schoolcraft - Creative Director, Co-Founder

John is living proof that good things come from Idaho. Born deep in the dust and grit of rodeo country it was love that uprooted his cowboy sensibilities and landed him across the pond in ye olde world. Today, he’s proud to call himself bonafide Euro-trash.

Prior to spawning the island dream of WELCOME TO ORANGE COUNTY John served as Creative Director for DDB Denmark. Under his stewardship, DDB developed a strong international presence as one of Scandinavia’s leading agencies. It was here that, together with fellow ORANGE founder Joakim Hedvall, John masterminded Carlsberg’s first global advertising campaign run in 48 countries.

John began his career in 1994 with Swedish agency, Enterprise, doing strategy and copy for heavyweights like Scandinavian Airlines and Tetra Pak. He later moved on to Sweden’s legendary Arbmans before forming his own shop, the ingeniously named Schoolcraft Advertising.

In his spare time, John enjoys eating free-range cattle products.
