IKEA to work with Welcome To Orange County

IKEA has announced its intentions to work with Welcome to Orange County, the European exploration agency, based in Mallorca, Spain. The partnership will commence immediately and entails IKEA’s entire marketing activities in Denmark.

IKEA Denmark had been looking for a more flexible set-up in order to match recent changes to their own organization and to create a more dynamic output in regard to their marketing activities.

“When Welcome to Orange County approached us, I knew the fit was right. They look at things differently from other agencies. They pull in specific competence for each given task, are open-minded to our other partners, and integrate our in-house experts whenever they can. This creates a powerful team and allows everyone to concentrate on what they know best,” says Richard Götbring, Marketing Manager of IKEA Denmark.

“IKEA has always chosen agencies that question conventions. In this case, they had just undergone a dynamic change to their organization. It was empowered, eager. They had already realized that the traditional form of client-agency relationship was inflexible and counter productive to what they were looking to achieve. Our philosophies matched perfectly,” explains John Schoolcraft, creative director and one of the founders of Welcome to Orange County.
